Over the past month, our TapSongz team has had the opportunity to speak with a variety of up and coming artists who are ready to hit the big stage. We have greatly enjoyed writing up feature articles on these talented artists and will continue to do so! We believe that artists deserve more recognition for their hard work on projects, mixtapes and albums and we hope that you have enjoyed reading our editorials!
We are proud to announce that the April Rapper of the Month is Omar LinX, a talented rapper out of Toronto, Canada. Since he as a kid, he had a deep passion for music, listening to a variety of artists and learning how to play the keyboard and produce music. So far in his career, LinX has accomplished a great amount and his talent is just starting to become noticed. He has released a couple of EP’s with Zeds Dead including “The Living Dead” in July of 2012 and “Cowboy (Remixes) – EP” in February of 2013. He has been rapping all of his life, with a constant focus revolving around music.
LinX currently has two mixtapes that have been released titled “Victor” and “A Cold Welcome”. He released “City of Ommz” in July of 2011 and it became an instant hit in the hip-hop world! Our favorite songs on the album include “Little Moment”, “Cowboy” and “Jackie Boy”. LinX was able to create a unique sound for the project with great production and beats, giving hip-hop a new and refreshing style.
In the past couple of months, fans have gotten what they wanted, with several songs being released by the Toronto rapper. In his “Road To M.O.R.” series, LinX has released a couple of free downloads in the past four weeks including “Can’t Forget”, “Who Are You To Judge” and “Rise Up”. Rumor has it that LinX will release more free tracks before he officially releases his debut artist album M.O.R. (Music or Revenge).
Many of Omar LinX’s music videos can be found in the link below! We encourage everyone to follow LinX on SoundCloud to keep up with his latest releases! We have also included links to his Facebook and Twitter pages so make sure to keep up with him on social media! Be on the lookout for his new album “M.O.R. – Music Or Revenge” that will be released later this year!
