It has been a while since we last talked with Conrvd, an amazingly talented up and coming artist. We recently had the opportunity to catch up with him to learn more about his latest releases and plans for 2019 in an exclusive TapSongz interview!
Connor McDermott, who goes by Conrvd, is originally from Dallas Texas. "I have been living in Puerto Rico since I was 11. I moved to Los Angeles in December", he told our TapSongz Team. Music has been a part of his life since he was young and decided to pursue it seriously about a year and a half ago. Conrvd loved listening to new music early on and had one . "I grew up on classics like The Beatles and music from my dad's era," he said.
Fast forward to today and Conrvd has made great progress. "The latest projects I released were Rico and Black Range Rover. Rico came around about eight months ago when I was in Puerto Rico. I had debated for a long time about whether I should release it or not. Black Range Rover I had just recorded about two days prior to the release." Our TapSongz Team gave them both a listen and loved the progress in sound that Conrvd has displayed heading into 2019.
Conrvd realizes the music industry is massive and so many artists are working hard to gain traction and attention. But by releasing constant new high quality tracks and building an organic fan base, the young artist is well on his way in the right direction. "Right now I'm just trying to make music people can connect with while building a following. I really want people to be able to feel the message I am trying to portray. I make music to vibe to."
As for 2019, Conrvd plans to work harder than ever. "I would love to have a few live shows this year as I feel like the music I put out is atmospheric and nostalgic in certain aspects. It plays on a lot of topics regarding emotion and growing up." We couldn't agree more and would love to see Conrvd make live appearances, which is a big step for many artists.
Conrvd has been busy, with several recent moves, and now posted up in LA to focus on music. We think he's definitely on the right path and based on his latest releases which we love, we can't wait to hear his new music in 2019. Be sure to toss Conrvd a follow on SoundCloud to stay up to date with his latest releases! More big things are to come for the rising Southern artist and we can't wait to see what he accomplishes in 2019. Here at TapSongz, we thank you for reading this feature article as we continue finding tomorrow's greatest music today.
