Here at TapSongz, our team is devoted to finding talented artists who deserve more exposure in the music industry for their hard work and efforts! We have been contacted and reached out to many different artists from a variety of genres. We believe that talented artists should be rewarded for their hard work so our team will continue to post articles on many different artists to give you the inside scoop on what is going on in the music industry! One such artist we recently came across is Frank LeGree.
While 2020 and early 2021 have been difficult time periods for most, it is uplifting to see artists like LeGree push forward and release new music. This week we had the opportunity to learn more about Frank, a rising R&B artist and Gospel singer out of Atlanta, GA. LeGree has been in the industry for quite some time. From 1980-1988 he traveled to Canada and South America as well as all U.S. Marriott Hotels as the lead singer with a corporate band Tangee Renee and Club Visage. LeGree had a positive experience and knew he wanted to pursue music.
Frank released a CD in 2005 while in Japan titled "My Life Frank LeGree" which is available on all major outlets. The project featured many talented singers. LeGree returned to Atlanta in 2014 where he picked right back up where he had left off. "I started singing with corporate bands Live Exchange, we performed at local clubs and colleges," he told our TapSongz Team. LeGree has such a beautiful voice and his songs are an inspiration to many. "I want my music to reflect who and what I stand for not only Gospel music but R&B, Pop, and Jazz," Frank said. We think he's doing just that with a hybrid sound that so many fans have become accustomed to.
Our TapSongz Team particularly enjoyed "Loves In Need" which features 4G_Master. The song has an awesome groove to it and the production blends in so well with 4G_Master and leGree. One aspect we particularly enjoyed about Frank's music is the meaningful lyrics. "My brother Frank LeGree Jr. was a civil rights activist and my father was the first African American playing first trumpet to tour with the U.S. Army Band in Europe." He also noted Ray Charles was a family friend of his brother's while in Jacksonville, Florida. We also loved Frank's track "Because You", which was a collaboration with Leon Daniels. Alfreda Gerald were the vocals on the song. Garrison Davis and son Genesis Davis arranged the music and the song was written by Greg Hartige and recorded by Sam Haygood and Tristan Geiger, who also arranged the music to Stevie Wonder's cover "Loves in Need". LeGree worked with Daniels in Tokyo and Tristan Geiger sings on the verses and wrote the song with singer Jerome Preston, former bassplayer for Fred Wesley and guest female triple threat actress model and LeGree's daughter and singer Nina Simone. LeGree's creativity is on full display and we love how the track turned out.
As for now, LeGree is focused on new music for 2021 and beyond. We can't wait to hear more new releases from the rising Gospel singer and talented artist in the near future. Big things are ahead for Frank LeGree and we can't wait to follow his journey. Be sure to toss him a follow on social media including his Instagram frank_legree as well as Apple Music, Spotify, and SoundCloud! Here at TapSongz, we thank you for reading this feature article as we continue finding tomorrow's greatest music today!
