G'Slim, originally from Gretna in the L.A. area, is making strides with his Hip-Hop game. Our TapSongz Team took note of his hard work and wanted to dive deeper into the progression he has showed as a talented young Hip-Hop artist. We recently had the opportunity to interview G'Slim to learn more about his latest project and plans for the rest of 2017.
Growing up G'Slim had a love for music and looked up to several rappers as inspiration. "I always listened to Lil Wayne and Meek Mill," the young rapper told our TapSongz Team. "I always listened to how easy it was to make a song so I put my mind to it and started rapping," he added. Lil Wayne is the best live performance G'Slim has seen living stating he brings so much energy to the crowd when performing. He uses Wayne as a role model of sorts and looks to use it as motivation.
G'Slim has been busy in recent months working hard on perfecting his Hip-Hop sound and attempting to configure that perfect project that fans will love. "The latest project released is the 'Free NBA Youngboy' EP. When I first heard of NBA Youngboy I liked his music because he actually says what he been through and most things I relate too, like friends turning into snakes for money, and nights I couldn't eat so I got up and got everything out the mud," G'Slim explained.
Our TapSongz Team especially liked the track "23rd Baby", a meaningful track with well-thought out lyrics. The beat is extremely catchy and G'Slim does an awesome job of keeping flow throughout each verse. The young rapper is already looking to take what he has learned with this recent EP and transform it into an even larger project. G'Slim already has plans for his next project "StackOrStarve" EP, which he says shows great improvement from his early work.
Heading into the rest of 2017, G'Slim hopes to do more live shows and perform at parties, improving his fan base and creating a more global reach. We encourage all of our viewers to give his latest EP "Free NBA Youngboy" a listen on SoundCloud! It is well worth your time! Toss him a follow on Twitter to stay up to date with his latest releases!
