The holiday weekend did not disappoint in Chicago. Union Park in downtown Chicago hosted three days full of music, including big-time EDM, Hip-Hop and Alternative acts.
Friday night featured plenty of talent with Chicago's very own Autograf hitting the stage around 5pm. The duo recently blew up with they released their own original "Dream". The lineup continued with strength as Gucci Mane hit the stage later at night under the bright lights. Mane, despite coming out onto stage 20 minutes late, threw a banger and fans loved the energy and hype throughout the entire show. Gucci played plenty of his classics and older hits which greatly pleased the crowd. Friday night closed out with Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz playing a classic Trance act. Fans vibed the entire way as bright green lasers glared through the large crowd.
Saturday had just as much talent with fans getting amped to see Chicago's own Whethan at 5pm. Whethan, who recently performed in Chicago at Lollapalooza, has blown up and for good reason. The young Chicago-native played hits "Savage", "Good Nights" and "When I'm Down", with a trumpet player accompanying the act and giving the performance an amazing live feel. Shortly after Whethan exited, Don Diablo hit the stage. Diablo played an amazing set, looking so poised on stage and giving fans exactly what they wanted.
Hip-Hop heavy hitter Post Malone took the stage Saturday night and put on an unbelievable show. North Coast was lucky to book such an amazing rapper as Post Malone has become one of the hottest names in the industry throughout the last couple of months after releasing album "Congratulations". Rain came down on fans midway through the set, but Post Malone rapped hard and showed love to Chicago playing "Go Flex", "No Option" and "Congratulations". Saturday night was rounded out in the rain with Damian Marley and Carnage both putting on amazing, yet very different shows.
