Reaction NYE lived up to the potential without a doubt. The event was filled with success from plenty of alcohol options, quick security lines and blaring music on three main stages. The warehouse type venue at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, was only a short stop away from downtown Chicago. Midwest fans poured into the venue over the past two days for some of the hottest EDM and Hip-Hop acts.
The best part about the weekend was the variety that the festival presented. From groovy EDM sets to heavy bass drops to swaying back and forth due to an infectious Hip-Hop act, Reaction NYE truly had a set for everyone.
Friday night filled up the convention center as music fans packed into the venue for Dillon Francis, Anderson Paak and Flume. Dillon Francis put on a rowdy show as expected with lasers filling the air and Dillon bobbing his head playing one hit after another.
Anderson Paak was also a huge fan favorite, performing right after Dillon Francis. His sound and energy on stage is a tough act to follow up, but leave it to Flume to drop jaws. Around 12:20am Flume arrived on stage after a large build up with the lights off. Playing hit tracks from his new album "Skin", along with some of his most popular remixes from his early days including his famous Tennis Court Remix, the Australian producer threw an incredible show.
The party didn't stop after Friday night as EDM and Hip-Hop fans packed back into the venue to see Gucci Mane and Zeds Dead. All feedback on social media was very positive about the 2-day festival and fans look forward to attending Reaction NYE again next year. 2017 is bound to be a big year for music and we look forward to covering more shows throughout the new year!
