It has been a while since we last caught up with Re'Al Soul, an amazingly talented singer who has a great deal of potential within the music industry. We had the opportunity to hear his latest material and learn more about his plans for the upcoming year!
Re'Al Soul took a recent break from music, which sometimes is just a part of life when there is a lot going on. "I had a lot going on . I was wearing many different 'hats' - the most important of them all was being a husband, and father. So I was trying to juggle being there for my family physically, emotionally & financially, with trying to launch my music career from the ground up. It was taxing man," Re'Al Soul told our TapSongz Team. "I had to make a sacrifice, and it wasn't going to be my family. During the break away though, I was able to re-evaluate my reason for wanting to be an artist in the first place - which is something that got lost somewhere along the way, and this made me reconsider my goals," he added.
But the rising artist who has relocated to Denver in hopes of breaking into the rocky mountain R&B/Soul scene is back and we can't wait to see what he can accomplish. "The new project I'm working on is me finishing the project I was working on prior to the break I took. Before 'For Love' began to gain traction I pulled the plug on all my music efforts. So now that I'm back, I'm determined to see the project to completion. The project is titled 'Vicarious', the singer said.
"Language of Love" is one of the new singles by Re'Al Soul and we love the jazzy laidback flow he is able to create. "Shout out to Haven J, who produced the track for Language of Love! Second, I'm a songwriter that feeds off of the track in order to create concepts and lyrics, and that specific track help me do just that. I envisioned a woman starved of love in every way that a person could be (not just sex), and how love would pursue and woo her, and touch her heart if it were a man." The track turned out beautifully and we love the unique lyrics that go along to the steady beat.
As for what's next, Re'Al Soul will continue to pursue what he loves and is passionate about. "In 2018, I would like to have my project 'Vicarious' completed by late Spring. I would also like to find a band to work with exclusively for live performances. Lastly, I ultimately would want to, at the very least land a great single deal with a major or Indie label," Re'Al Soul told our TapSongz Team. We believe 2018 is a very exciting year. With recent R&B artists breaking out of their shell such as Gallant and Daniel Caesar, we believe Re'Al Soul has what it takes to reach the next level.
