2019 has been an exciting year for music with plenty of new artists shining through with new releases and catchy tunes. Our TapSongz team loves finding up and coming artists to support and help grow in the crazy music industry. We recently came across the talented Tyson Jay Palmer and had the opportunity to interview him to learn more about his influences and latest releases!
He is originally from Sydney and loved music growing up, but only recently started to pursue it himself. "I began pursuing music around Christmas of 2018. I started writing sonatas for Harmonica," he told our TapSongz Team. Tyson has utilized a variety of influences when creating his own style and sound. "My favorite bands growing up were Metallica, of course, and ACDC. Then as I moved into high school, I started listening to all different kinds of rock, punk, metal, even deathcore. My favorite bands were Rise Against, Metallica, Mastodon, Architects, Northlane, and Deftones. There are definitely more, but the list is too big," Jay Palmer told our TapSongz Team.
Tyson has utilized these influences to create his own sound and has been keeping busy musically in recent months. "My newest single is 'The Machine' and it is only on SoundCloud. It features sweep picking, which is one of the hardest songs to play on the guitar because of that. It took me two days to make it and after some finishing touches is finally complete," he said. We loved The Machine as it shows Tyson Jay Palmer's true versatility as an artist and really shows how strong of sound he is able to create. "Hopefully the sweep picking will be better on the album," Tyson added. Our TapSongz Team thought the song turned out beautifully and are excited to hear more great new music from the rising artist.
As for the rest of 2019, Tyson certainly plans on keeping busy and is working on a big project. "I plan to release my new album 'Iridescent'. It should be on all digital stores by late November." Our TapSongz Team already can't wait to hear the new album and are excited to follow Tyson's journey in the coming months and his music and sound continue to progress. Definitely be sure to follow the rising artist on SoundCloud and Twitter and be on the lookout for his new album in November. We can't wait to see what Tyson Jay Palmer is able to accomplish next! Here at TapSongz, we thank you for reading this feature article as we continue finding tomorrow's greatest music today!
