Our newest TapSongz feature pertains to an aspiring DJ by the name of Jason Travers, who goes by the artist name 8.0.Ace. Originally hailing from the Big Apple of New York City, 8.0.Ace relocated to New Jersey during his freshman year of high school, where he discovered his talent for DJ-ing. 8.0.Ace started out without any of the necessary equipment or experience, but that did not stop him from doing everything in his power to improve. 8.0.Ace stated, “I had no equipment or experience, so I would play around with different programs on the computer for a while and mix stuff on there. After playing around with it for a while, I thought that I may be serious about this so I invested in some equipment and so far it’s really paid off.” Since his humble beginnings, 8.0.Ace has been able to produce his own music for the past two years, but has struggled finding his own unique sound that could differentiate himself from other aspiring DJs. In regards to finding his own niche in the DJ community, 8.0.Ace said that his early interest in hip-hop music tremendously helped him as an artist.
8.0.Ace mainly enjoys producing trap remixes and originals, and one his newest remixes has garnered some buzz. “I am starting to get a following and recognition as LOUDPVCK showed support on the Drake remix.” There is no denying that any recognition from a seasoned veteran like LOUDPVCK would help to increase 8.0.Ace’s popularity in the DJ community. He has been working on his first EP, which is to be released sometime this summer. The inaugural EP will be entitled “8.0.8” and he has high hopes that this project will lead to more recognition. If he is able to get a serious following, 8.0.Ace has big goals and hopes to be able to tour all over the world sharing his music with his fans.
