The first two iterations of All Things Go were fantastic, but it looks like the third time’s a charm. This year’s Fall Classic music festival will take place this Saturday October 8th at Washington DC’s Yards Park. The all-day celebration that last year brought in Kygo will continue to feature big-name artists, boasting Passion Pit and Empire of the Sun as headliners. The extensive lineup includes up-and-coming indie artists Sylvan Esso, Christine and the Queens, Bishop Briggs, Pop Etc., Sofi Tukker, and Ace Cosgrove.
Our Tapsongz team is incredibly excited to cover the indie-electronic lineup! Known for record-breaking hits “Sleepyhead” and “Take A Walk” and pop sensation “Carried Away,” Passion Pit has quickly become a staple in the modern indietronica scene. The band’s suite features songs you can dance, chill, and vibe to, and their set on Saturday will likely include a mix of songs from their last three albums, Kindred, Gossamer, and Manners. Fans are hoping for sneak previews of new content per teasers on lead singer Michael Angelakos’ twitter feed.
This Saturday’s festival will be the last event in the US for headliner Empire of the Sun before the group sets out on a world tour that includes stops in the UK, Germany and France. The electronic duo from Australia is set to release a new album at the end of October, featuring the hugely successful lead single “High and Low” and a remix of their smash hit “Walking on a Dream.” Title track “Two Vines” is already a fan favorite, and concert-goers can expect to hear numerous songs from their earlier albums, Walking on a Dream and Ice on the Dune.
Overall our team anticipates a plethora of emotional and enlivening performances from a lineup with some serious musical depth. All Things Go is poised to put on yet another successful music festival with their third Fall Classic. The food lineup looks pretty incredible too, featuring DC staples Buredo, Compass, and Timber Pizza, to name a few. Limited tickets are still available; definitely check out the All Things Go website for more details. See you at Yards Park Saturday!
