As 2017 is coming to a close, our TapSongz Team continues to dig for new music on all major music and streaming platforms. We recently came across a talented artist named CuntyBeats who has a lot of momentum heading into 2018!
CuntyBeats can do a little bit of everything within the EDM space, with mostly a focus on House music. "My body lives in Toronto Canada but I hope that CuntyBeats lives independently of cities, countries and borders. House music is a universal language of peace, love, unity and respect," the rising artist told our TapSongz Team. His name comes an outer-body experience he had on a dance floor. "I understand that the word 'cunty' is a very divisive word that can be equally empowering and derogatory BUT by placing the two words together- cunty + beats - I created a name, not a word, that is devoid of meaning. this doesn't mean the name isn't still a powerful word that could be interpreted as politically incorrect but that is not my intention," the artist said.
When asked to describe his sound Cunty Beats had a very specific response which we loved. "I would describe my sound Plunderphonic House Music. Plunderphonics was coined by composer John Oswald in 1985 in his essay Audio Piracy as a Compositional Prerogative," he told our TapSongz Team. " Ultimately CuntyBeats is a DANCE MUSIC ANARCHIST but a HOUSE MUSIC VIGILANTE!", he added.
Our TapSongz Team was particularly impressed with his new track "Community of Hope". The song has an awesome vibe and is super easy to listen to. We think the track is perfect for any viewer looking for new EDM music, something different from the typical electronic track.
