Whether he’s writing originals, mastering and mixing his covers, hitting the high notes of “Drunk in Love” by Beyonce, or shooting his own music videos, Terrell dedicates his life to being a genuine and passionate artist.
“Growing up, I was really into Janet and Michael Jackson as well as the ‘Beat Street’ movie years ago,” says Terrell. His current musical inspirations include Party Next Door, the Weeknd, Childish Gambino, and Kanye West.
When it comes to performing, Terrell’s favorite places to perform are Brooklyn, his hometown, and Arizona because of the positive vibes brought from the audience. “My favorite song to perform is called ‘My Senses,” explains Terrell. “I always notice that people make a huge connection to that song.” “My senses,” which was written and completely engineered by Terrell received over 130,000 views in only three days.
Terrell values the professionalism of the quality of his music which is why he self produces nearly everything. He also thinks of it as a way to really put his own identity into every piece of work. “Everything you’ve seen as far as videos, music, mixing/mastering, and photography, I have shot and edited myself in pursuit of giving pure art from an artist,” he explains.
