Our TapSongz Team continues to find amazing new music on Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud. It is always refreshing to find up and coming artists and unheard music to support. We recently came across talented DJ Heuixis and had the opportunity to interview him to learn more about his latest releases and plans for the future.
Heuixis is originally from San Diego, California. He was always musical and focused on sound growing up. "It wasn't until a few years ago that I started making songs. My artist name is 'Heuixis' and it doesn't mean anything," the rising musician told our TapSongz Team. Growing up, the artist had plenty of inspirations including Elvis Presley and Avril Lavigne. "It wasn't until when I was 10 that I started listening to EDM. I downloaded a virus onto my family computer and while listening to music it bluescreened and I was like that sounded dope."
Fast forward to today and Heuixis has made great strides in the industry including a brand new project. "My latest project I released is my album 'FOR LOVE, WITH YOU' which comes out August 15. The album represents me overcoming my depression and addiction to nitrous by finding love for myself." We love the album concept and thought Heuixis' new sound is extremely refreshing.
Our TapSongz Team had a chance to given Heuixis' music a full listen and absolutely loved his track "For Love, With U". The track has some awesome drops that will catch you off guard and is an amazing dubstep song with plenty of variety sprinkled in. We also loved "Space Flakes" a catchy upbeat EDM tune that is well worth your time.
Heuixis will be heading to college soon, but may look to begin doing small shows and gigs. "My goals heading into 2020 are to study theatre tech and release another album," Heuixis told our TapSongz Team. The artist has also noted how the industry has changed in recent years. "I think there is a lot of saturation of okay content in the music industry and it has gotten really really hard to stand out," he said. We couldn't agree more.
