It was a single song that immediately caught our attention. We have listened to Sound Remedy and Savoy before, being fans of both artists. But it was the female vocalist that set their new track “Leaving You” apart from the rest. Jojee, a young artist residing in New York City, brought the EDM track to life and our TapSongz Team wanted to find out more.
Growing up, Jojee along with a group of friends would play in bands. Her entire family was really into music and she remembers doing stuff like musical theatre. Jojee went to school in North Carolina for fashion and currently works in men’s fashion. She has been in New York City for the past three years and hopes she can eventually focus solely on music. It appears that her latest feature in “Leaving You” could make her adventure a little easier, with the track getting promoted by major music outlets including Monstercat and ThisSongIsSick. “I was working on a new EP with my producer Mickey Valen. I met Sound Remedy through him, who knew Savoy and we partnered up on the song,” Jojee said.

When looking around online, Jojee did not seem to have many tracks released, but that is about to change. Heavily influenced by Amy Winehouse, Jojee wrote an entire Jazz EP, but eventually scratched the entire project and did not release it. “I love and enjoy Pop music so I used the influence as an influence. You may see Jazz from me later on,” Jojee told our TapSongz Team.
Jojee is currently getting ready to release a brand new EP, with the first single coming out within the next month. “Both Mickey and I love Future Bass and are influenced by Lido’s sound. We love Hip-Hop, too, so we are fusing all that with pop and have come up with something really awesome.” While the EP’s title has yet to be released, Jojee has been working alongside her producer to wrap up the project. “I just wanted to create something personal yet unique and try to connect with people. I want a project that feels really fresh and new,” Jojee said.
As for the future, Jojee says there should be plenty of collaborations throughout the year. “I love the EDM scene. It’s incredible what these guys do production-wise and working with Sound Remedy and Savoy has been amazing. I would love to continue to be a part of it.” Be sure to follow Jojee on her social media sites below and keep an eye out for her upcoming EP!
