Our TapSongz Team loves finding new music and helping up and coming artists receive more exposure. We recently came across Kastello's music on SoundCloud and were very impressed with his talent. We had the opportunity to interview the up and coming artist to learn more about his past, latest releases, and plans for the rest of the year!
Kastello is Armenian and originally from Los Angeles, California. Being in the hub of the U.S. for music it wasn't hard to get involved early on. "I first began pursing music when I was 13 years old. I was heavily influenced by video games Guitar Hero and Rock Band, which led me to buy a guitar to teach myself," Kastello said. Growing up, the artist always looked up to Daft Punk, Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, and Deadmau5. "Truthfully, I was inspired to produce my own music by guys like W&W, Tiesto, DJ Snake and many more!" he added.
Fast forward to today and Kastello has been working harder than ever to improve his sound and build a following. "My latest project is called 'The Gauntlet', which is a follow up of my previous project called 'Ruins' and they were both influenced by The Avengers movies," Kastello told our TapSongz Team. The up and coming DJ noted that these were his first true dubstep releases, but it's the musical direction he is focused on. "Ruins" starts out with so much energy right out of the gate before settling down and re-building. We loved what Kastello was able to do with the tempo and mixing up the pace. The drop is super catchy and reminded us of old school Skrillex. "The Gauntlet" is another track that incorporates some beautiful laidback piano before dropping hard. Kastello's ability to incorporate different vibes into a single song is very unique and not an easy task.
As for the rest of 2019, Kastello remains focused on his sound. After recently performing in Las Vegas, he is ready for more. "I definitely would love to go to the east coast such as Miami, Orlando, New Jersey, Chicago, and many more! I have been speaking with a team for a tour in 2020, but cannot provide details at this time," Kastello said.
We always love finding up and coming artists who are so motivated for success. "There is absolutely no time to relax. My main goals are to develop my sound and style even more before this year ends," Kastello told our TapSongz Team. We are excited to see how the rising dubstep producer progresses and this certainly will not be the last time you hear of him. Be sure to toss his SoundCloud and Twitter a follow to stay up to date with his latest releases! With trap and dubstep music on the comeback, Kastello is perfectly positioned to capitalize. Here at TapSongz, we thank you for reading this feature article as we continue finding tomorrow's greatest music today!
