If you were to mash Indie Electronic and Pop music together you’ d get Larcy. The tremendous combination of pure vocals and smooth piano give listeners a unique vibe that is becoming ever so popular. Larcy, originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, grew up listening to a variety of stars in the 1990’s and early 2000’s including Alicia Keys, John Legend, Tupac, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera among others. Her love for music began at an early age and never stopped. “I’ve been a musician since I can remember life. I was always in chorus and played the violin and piano growing up. I didn’t write my first song until I was 16, but after that I just kept writing,” Larcy said.
Many fans point to Larcy’s style as a mix of Ellie Goulding and Tove Lo. Her more current music is more Pop heavy, making it similar to Lorde or Taylor Swift. But there is no doubt that Larcy creates a unique sound of her own that has made her noticed within the industry. Her track “Best Friend” was released over a year ago and really helped propel the young songwriter into the spotlight, becoming her favorite song to play for fans. “I always play ‘Best Friend’ first for people. Larcy has kept busy within the past couple of months, working on a variety of projects and recently releasing a track titled “Running Home” that was produced by Gazzo. “I had been a fan of Gazzo’s work and really wanted to work with him,” Larcy recalled. “We actually started working on a different song together, which has yet to be released; then I played him a piano demo of ‘Running Home’ one day at the studio and he just started making it. It was awesome and I loved the direction he was going. I wanted to make a chill song, a bit different than my other singles.” The track can be downloaded for free on SoundCloud at Larcy’s page.
As for 2015, Larcy has plenty of goals to achieve including releasing a ton of new music, doing more live performances., and maybe even working with Pharrell Williams. After working hard in the studio in 2014, Larcy has a variety of projects that she’s hoping to show her fans throughout the year.
