It has been a couple of months since we last spoke with Night Train. He has been working harder than ever to become noticed within the industry and his fan base continues to grow. Our TapSongz Team had the opportunity to interview Night Train about his latest project and get the scoop about his plans for 2017.
Out of Silver Spring, Maryland (15 minute walk to D.C.), Night Train is ready to break out in a big way. "The music scene in Maryland is actually pretty diverse," Night Train said. "Because we're so close to D.C. we get a serious surge of musical talent from the mainstream and the underground." Various genres of music including Rock, Jazz, EDM and Soul can all be heard at different points throughout the day on the streets.
Night Train's father was a bass guitar player and he had always been interested in music as a kid. He started to write more in college and took the name "Night Train 357" because it was his father's CB (citizens band) radio name. "I guess music became an outlet to express myself as an artist in a way that was totally personal expression. I was making art for myself first," he told our TapSongz Team.
Recently a lot of Night Train's hard work came to fruition when he released a fresh new EP "Midnight Expression". "It took forever! I'm a bit of a workaholic and I tend to take too many things on at a time," Night Train said. "Midnight Expression was created for several reasons. I wanted to highlight my growth as a lyricist since my last album and I wanted to talk about things in my life that were relevant to changes when it came to social issues," he explained. Our TapSongz Team absolutely loved the new project and think the EP came together extremely well.
The best part about Night Train is that he puts 100% into every single track. The rising artist couldn't pick a favorite tune because he likes and cares about each piece of work he releases. "Balance It All" does seem to be a fan favorite and Night Train likes the track a lot. "It's what I listen to when I'm feeling down," Night Train explained.
Going forward Night Train has big plans ahead for 2017 and looks to continue to work hard as a strong lyricist. He also hopes to do shows at local venues and work with online promoters to get the word out. Our TapSongz Team believes in Night Train due to his love for music and passion for quality. We think he can definitely make strides in the new year and we can't wait to see what he is able to accomplish. Here at TapSongz, we thank you for reading this feature article as we continue finding tomorrow's greatest music today!
