2019 has been an exciting year for new music, bringing in all sorts of amazing up and coming artists, DJ's and bands. It is always fun to see artists breakout after all of their hard work and we love supporting new rising talent. We recently came across soupinsource, an extremely talented electronic artist, who has a ton of potential to breakout in the EDM scene. Our TapSongz Team had the opportunity to interview soupinsource to learn more about his background and latest releases.
Soupinsource is originally from Japan and had a passion for music at an early age. "I bought a CD by myself when I was eight years old," he told our TapSongz Team. "I listened to the CD every morning before going to school." Soupinsource used that ambition and inspiration to begin making his own music at the age of 20 in college during music composition class. "Growing up I loved TM Network (Japanese techno pop band), The Blue Hearts (Japanese rock band), Unicorn (Japanese rock band), and Judy and Mary (Japanese rock band)," he said.
Fast forward to today and soupinsource has utilized these inspirations to create his own music. Our TapSongz Team loved his funky tune "Persepolis", which has an awesome electronic vibe to it. The production is on point and really displays soupinsource's full potential as a DJ and artist. When asked about near-term plans, soupinsource said that he has no plans to tour as of now. "I would like to keep making music consistently through the rest of the year," soupinsource told our TapSongz Team. He notes the shifts in music from a technology standpoint in recent years that have benefitted the industry. "By developing SNS services everyone is able to sell their music which is great," he said. We couldn't agree more.
Be sure to toss soupinsource a follow on Twitter to stay up to date with his latest releases. Give the rising DJ's music a listen on SoundCloud as you will not be disappointed. Big things are ahead for the Japanese artist and we are excited to follow his journey and see him reach full potential. Here at TapSongz, we thank you for reading this feature article as we continue finding tomorrow's greatest music today.
