Our TapSongz Team recently came across Tha Samurai, a talented rising artist out of Columbus, Georgia. He had a passion at a young age and we were able to interview the up and coming musician to learn more.
"I always loved music. Always wanted to be center stage, but I didn't put too much into it until a really bad break up," Tha Samurai told our TapSongz Team. Growing up he was a big fan of Andre 3000, J Cole, Rakim, Tupac, and Lil Wayne. Tha Samurai turned his influences into something bigger by working on a fresh new project that fans have really enjoyed so far.
"Rough Draft", Tha Samurai's new project, is available October 1 on Spotify and YouTube. "I felt like it was time to drop something. All this work. Ive been working on my craft for sometime. Im hungry now. I want to keep making music," he said. After reviewing Tha Samurai's music on YouTube we love the potential, his sound is very professional and easy to listen to.
Tha Samurai is hoping to leverage his project to gain more exposure in the industry with big plans. "I have major plans to tour and do local shows. Just looking for the next step. I've never done one but, I'm itching to jump on stage," he said. Tha Samurai also wants to give back to fans, and use his music to inspire and uplift. He is even working on two other albums and is clearly hungry for success.
If the rising rapper could collaborate with any artist he said it would be Dezzy Yates, T.I. or Nicki Minaj. Tha Samurai has also always loved Rihanna's sound. We can't wait to see what the up and coming artist is able to accomplish. With plenty of room to grow we are excited to see what Tha Samurai is able to accomplish in the coming months!
Be sure to support Tha Samurai by giving his new project a listen and checking out his YouTube. Follow his Twitter to stay up to date with his latest releases! There is no doubt that the rising artist has what it takes to reach the next level and we are excited to follow his journey. Here at TapSongz, we thank you for reading this feature article as we continue finding tomorrow's greatest music today!
