Echosmith performed last night at 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. for a sold-out show! They were joined in their performance by The Colourist, a popular Alternative/Rock band out of Orange County, California. Our TapSongz Team was able to attend the show and review the concert. So we all know Mark Ronson from the critically acclaimed "Uptown Funk." You cannot escape that song nowadays, although I am not sure why you would want to. But "Daffodils" can compete. This track features Kevin Parker, of Tame Impala, and combines the familiar funk with a sprinkle of psychedelia. Listen below! Ok, I'll admit this is a little late. Best Coast has released their first single on a major label (Harvest Records/Capitol), and you can tell a distinct difference: more production. In a wonderful way. The Chainsmokers shocked our generation with the creativity and music video of "#SELFIE". Since the duo in New York is blowing up and for good reason. Their follow up single "Kanye" surprised listeners once again as their single climbed EDM charts quickly. Our TapSongz Team had the opportunity to interview the duo to learn more about their plans in 2015 and new song they plan to release in early March! Father John Misty (Josh Tillman) has released his second full length album "I Love You, Honeybear" through Sub-Pop Records. Although the album was only released one day ago, it is already being regarded as a masterpiece. "I Love You, Honeybear" provides a vivid narrative partially based off Tillman's recent marriage and the effects it has had on his life. The former Fleet Foxes drummer showcases his folksinging roots over Beatle-like instrumentation. The story is told through an impressive and emotionally evocative vocabulary sprinkled with critical humor. Whether you are looking for a laugh, a cry or a well-told story, Tillman delivers on every level.
